Who am I?

Hello, I'm Jess. I've been yogaing since my teens, and later immersed myself in the practice. My core training is Kundalini Yoga, but today I find myself offering restorative, nourishing and empowering yoga practices for Women as well a more strengthening yet soft Hatha Yoga to anyone interested. I continue to learn from and integrate wisdom and practices from inspiring teachers. I've been a practicing Osteopath for 8 years.

My story is one of being very shy, afraid, and having difficulty forming relationships of any depth. Never daring to put my hand up and trying my hardest to live life under the radar. Having difficulty speaking out and showing others who I am. It was lonely and safe, self-limiting and it was pretty depressing. And on top of all that, it was bad for my health!

Through practicing yoga, doors opened within me, which were once closed. Subsequently my life became more fulfilled with richer relationships and more creativity and expression through
dancing, singing, writing, making things and playing Ukulele...Portals for my soul to surface!!

I find nature and yoga to be antidotes to modern living which I associate with being busy, being frazzled by computers and smart phones, and maybe being physically unstimulated too. I believe the challenges in life that we manage to overcome are our biggest opportunities for growth and healing, and also can be the gift that we can then share with others.

On Well-Woman Yoga....
'Womb' yoga has given me a feeling of being more anchored in my body, more connected to my own needs and better able to honour them. This is self-care and is important for sustenance. The result for me is enhanced physical strength, emotional security and self-worth. It has also increased feelings of softness and compassion for myself and others and I feel more equipped to respond to the needs and demands of others from a place of balance. All this makes me happier and stronger...from the inside.
